These Cuff-links are based on one of Ireland's Emblems, the Harp. Clàrsach or Cláirseach (depending on Scottish Gaelic or Irish spellings), is the generic Gaelic word for 'a harp', as derived from Middle Irish. In English, the word is used to refer specifically to a variety of small Irish and Scottish harps.

The Newgrange Spiral Cuff-links are based on carvings on the stones in the megalithic mounds in Co. Meath, Ireland. Thought to be a solar calculator, the Sun shines down a long shaft at the Solstice. The site dates from circa 3500BC. It is thought to be one of the oldest man-made monuments in the World.
